‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’ Breaks Records; Amasses 15.2 Million Streaming Views in Five Days

According to CinemaDrame News Agency, the feature film The Devil Wears Prada 2 achieved a remarkable 15.2 million global views within its first five days of streaming across Disney+ and Hulu.

This viewership figure—calculated by dividing total watch time by the film’s 119-minute runtime—makes the hit sequel starring Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway Disney’s biggest live-action movie debut since Deadpool & Wolverine in 2024. For comparison, Marvel Studios’ entry reached 19.4 million views in six days, highlighting how closely The Devil Wears Prada 2 rivaled its pace over a similar timeframe.

Notably, The Devil Wears Prada 2 enjoyed a highly lucrative theatrical run prior to its digital debut, grossing $220.6 million in North America and $691.4 million worldwide against a $100 million budget. Strong streaming engagement following such a successful theatrical performance underscores the film’s broad popularity and high rewatch value, even two months after its initial cinema release.

Alongside Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway, original cast members Stanley Tucci and Emily Blunt reprised their iconic roles, joined by newcomers Justin Theroux, Lucy Liu, Kenneth Branagh, Simone Ashley, and B.J. Novak. David Frankel returned to direct the installment from a screenplay written by Aline Brosh McKenna, based on characters created by Lauren Weisberger.
